Privacy Policy

The short version: the free auditor runs entirely in your browser and we never see that data. If you create an account or connect eBay, we store the minimum needed to do the job, we never sell any of it, and you can delete everything whenever you want.

The free auditor: we don't see your data. Period.

When you upload a CSV to the free audit tool at ratetamer.com/audit, the file is parsed and analyzed entirely on your own computer, in your browser. It is never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the auditor still works. Audit results are kept in your browser's local storage on your device only, unless you choose to save them to an account.

What we collect, and when

Waitlist signups: your name (optional), email address, and the sales bracket you select. If you join the waitlist from an audit, we also store the single wasted-spend total your audit showed (just the number, none of the underlying data).
Accounts: if you create an account, our sign-in provider (Clerk) handles authentication and we store your account ID and email. We never see or store passwords.
Saved audits: if you choose to save an audit to your account, we store its summary: totals, attribution percentages, and the top item titles with recommended actions.
eBay connection: if you connect your eBay account, we store the OAuth access tokens eBay issues (read-only scopes: your transaction/fee data and campaign reports), your eBay username, and the audit results computed from that data. We request the minimum scopes needed and cannot list, edit, buy, sell, or message anyone on your behalf.
Payments (when subscriptions launch): handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never touch our servers. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

What we do with it

One thing: run RateTamer for you. Audits, dashboards, and the emails you asked for (waitlist updates, audit reports). We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, use it to train AI models, or aggregate it into "market insights" products. Your fee data is your business, sometimes literally.

Where it lives

Everything is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers, D1, KV) in encrypted-at-rest systems. Services we rely on, each seeing only what they need: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments, when live), eBay (the APIs you explicitly authorize), and Google Fonts (typefaces on our pages).

Deleting your data

Disconnect eBay: one click in your dashboard removes your tokens immediately. You can also revoke RateTamer's access from eBay itself (Account Settings → Sign-in & security → Third-party app access), and we honor eBay's account-deletion notifications automatically: if you close your eBay account, eBay tells us and we erase your connection and eBay-derived data without you asking.
Delete your account or waitlist entry: email us (below) and everything tied to you is gone within 30 days, usually much faster.

Cookies and tracking

No ad trackers, no analytics cookies, no pixels. The only cookies/storage in play are the ones that make sign-in work (Clerk's session) and your own browser's local storage for unsaved audit results.

Changes and contact
